My major is Biochemistry, so I have taken many science courses and we haven’t really learned a lot about evolution in my courses. However, I have previously learned about evolution and how people have evolved overtime and were able to adapt to those changes through the process of natural selection. I do agree with Alters’ statement that “evolution is a unifying theme among many sciences.” Just like, many people wouldn’t look at anthropology as a science course.

What we learned this week made me realize that evolution plays a role in many different subjects. This helped me learn about evolution in a new light from what I am use too. With that being said, it was a good idea to take this course even though it is not needed for my major it helps to see the same topics I have already learned about in a new way.
