Final Project Blog – Tell el-Amarna

For my final project, I will be researching and presenting about the city of Tell el-Amarna of Egypt. Existing during the 14th century, it was the capitol and home of many pharaohs of Egypt around the Roman times. Through multiple visits to the site from both Napoleon, Prussian, and later Germans archaeologists, there were many unique discoveries that show much about Egyptian culture and their association with the outside world. From cuneiform tablets to the organization of the city, Tell el-Amarna has much to tell about the middle era of one of the great Egyptian civilizations.
