Hi! My name is Suhana and I will be a senior this fall. I am a double major in Anthropology and Physiology. After I graduate in the spring, I am hoping to pursue medicine either as a physician or in the public health field. I became an Anthropology major because I wanted to know more about the intersections between anthropology and medicine the U.S. healthcare system can be improved from an anthropological perspective. I am from Bloomfield Hills, about an hour from East Lansing in Metro Detroit. Outside of school I love cooking, trying new foods and playing sports with my roommates. A fun fact about me is that I love watching horror movies! One thing I hope to learn in this class is what kinds of inequalities or inadequacies women who are being treated within U.S. health system face and how I might be able to help better those inequalities as someone who works in healthcare.
