Contact

Course Instructor: Sabrina Perlman, M.A.

My name is Sabrina Perlman and I am your instructor and point of contact for this course. I am a PhD student in the Department of Anthropology focusing on medical anthropology and gender. I am excited to be working with all of you this summer.

You can contact me via email at: perlman5@msu.edu

Office Hours

Since this is an online course, there are no designated office hours. If you wish to discuss your final projects, the course material, etc. face-to-face, I am happy to make arrangements to meet with you online via Skype or Zoom. Please email me to schedule an appointment.

Questions about the Course

If you have a question about the course, there’s a good chance that someone else has the same question.  Please post any questions as comments to the Questions page. I will check this page regularly to answer your questions, but I strongly encourage students to help each other out. Your classmates are a great resource, and the hive may be able to respond faster than I can!

If you have something private you need to discuss, or if you have a message specifically for me, please do not hesitate to email. I get a lot of emails, so please do the following to make sure I see yours right away:

  • Put “ANP 270” in the subject line
  • Address me politely, i.e. “Hello Ms. Perlman,” or “Dear Sabrina,”
  • Sign your emails with your first and last name

I will try to respond to all emails as soon as possible, but please allow up to 48 hours for a response, especially if it is over the weekend. I will not reply if the information you seek is easily found on this website.

The MSU Writing Center offers free one-on-one consultations to all students. They’ll help you with any kind of writing, at any stage of the writing process, from brainstorming ideas to final proofreading. And you do NOT have to have something written before you make an appointment – if you’re stuck with an assignment, or experiencing writer’s block, they can help!
This summer, WC appointments are available in-person and online Monday-Thursday 9:00-5:00 and Friday 9:00-2:00. You can schedule appointments at writing.msu.edu.
