  • Choose your site (for the Digital Atlas of Egyptian Archaeology project) by 9/28 (before 5pm) from the list on the Assignments page.  Email Ethan with your selection.  Those students who don’t make their choice by the due date will be randomly assigned a site from those remaining.

  • Download and install the GitHub desktop client on your computer

WEEK 6 (10/2 & 10/4)

  • 10/2 –  Today, the class will meet in the LEADR lab (Old Hort 112).  This will be the second of your digital skills workshops for the Digital Digital Atlas of Egyptian Archaeology class project. The skills covered in this workshop relate specifically to the first DAEA assignment (which is due at the end of Week 7)

  • 10/9 –  Today, the class will meet in the LEADR lab (Old Hort 112).  This will be an open lab period that you can use to work on your first DAEA assignment (which is due on Friday by 5pm).  This is also when/where you should get help on completing the first DAEA assignment.  This is not an optional class.  If you have completed and submitted the assignment, you can work on researching your site.

The skills covered in this workshop relate specifically to the second DAEA assignment (which is due at the end of this week). As we discussed last week, you need to come to class with at least 2 site images that you are going to use in your final site report.
  • 10/18 – Today, the class will meet in the LEADR lab (Old Hort 112).  This will be an open lab period that you can use to work on your second DAEA assignment (which is due on Friday by 5pm).  This is also when/where you should get help on completing the second DAEA assignment.  This is not an optional class.  If you have completed and submitted the assignment, you can work on researching your site.

ASSIGNMENTS

  • DAEA Assignment 2 Due (Friday by 5pm). Do a pull request to include your Assignment 2 work into the main DAEA repository.  The pull request is what you do to “hand in” the assignment.  When you are doing that pull request, include something like “submitting assignment 2 material” in the pull request message.
