First Year Training and RCR Event
February 10 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
On Saturday, February 10, 2018 the annual first year training and RCR event will be held in C103 McDonel Hall. This is a required training seminar for our first year graduate students. The morning portion of the workshop (10 am to 12 pm) includes important information including what is expectations of graduate students and requirements for success in the program. This is also an opportunity to have a conversation about your experiences thus far and to discuss plans for the upcoming summer/fall semesters.
The afternoon workshop, which is an RCR (Responsible Conduct of Research) training, is required for all first year students and welcome to any anthropology graduate students that still need RCR hours. As you know, every student must complete RCR training requirements every year, and once a year the department organizes a group training. The workshop will end at 2:00 pm.
First year students should plan on being in attendance from 10:00 am until 2:00. Those graduate students coming for the RCR portion should plan on attending from 12 pm to 2 pm. Lunch will be provided by the department.
