ISS 220: Time, Space, & Change in Human Society

ISS 220: Time, Space & Change in Human Society explores biological and cultural changes of the human species over time.  Students will look at the fundamentals of biological evolution, primates, and the biology and archaeology of our non-living ancestors (through the study of paleoanthropology).  The class will close by looking at the emergence of modern humans and the development of complex societies (thought topics such as the emergence of agriculture and the development of ancient states).
