This course incorporates self-paced learning. This means that you may watch the video lectures and read the assigned readings at your own pace – but remember, you are responsible for knowing the relevant material by the exam dates, and for completing the exams within the specified time periods. Assignments such as blog posts will have specific due dates (these will be posted under course announcements).
The first thing you should do is watch the COURSE INTRO VIDEO. After that, you can work through each of the units listed. It is highly recommended that you work through these units in the order that they are listed, as they build upon one another. The content for each week/ unit is accessible via the drop-down menu under the ‘Schedule’ link in the main menu.
Unlike a traditional brick-and-mortar classroom setting, this online course format gives you the advantage of being able to revisit any lecture at will. Take advantage of this, especially as much of the course material we are covering includes complex terminology and nomenclature that you may find a challenge at first.
As with any class, if you have any questions about the course material or the structure of the class, don’t hesitate to contact the TA or instructor.
