Contact

Course Instructor: Olivia “Livy” Drexler.

Hi, my name is Livy and I am your instructor and point of contact for this course. I am a PhD student in the Department of Anthropology focusing on medical anthropology, Native American and indigenous people, disability studies, and gender. I am happy to help and assist you in any way I can. Don’t be afraid to email me!

You can contact me via email at: drexlero@msu.edu

Office Hours

Since this is an online course, there are no designated office hours. If you wish to discuss your final projects, the course material, etc. face-to-face, I am happy to make arrangements to meet with you in person, or online via Skype or Zoom. Please email me to schedule an appointment.

Questions about the Course

If you have a question about the course, there’s a good chance that someone else has the same question.  Please post any questions as comments to the Questions page. I will check this page regularly to answer your questions, but I strongly encourage students to help each other out. Your classmates are a great resource, and your colleagues may be able to respond faster than I can!

If you have something private you need to discuss, or if you have a message specifically for me, please do not hesitate to email. I get a lot of emails, so please do the following to make sure I see yours right away:

  • Put “ANP 270” in the subject line
  • Address me politely, i.e. “Hello Livy,” or “Dear Livy.” “Drexler” or “Mx. Drexler” is also acceptable, but DO NOT ADDRESS ME AS MS or MRS.
  • Sign your emails with your first and last name

I will try to respond to all emails as soon as possible, but please allow up to 48 hours for a response, especially if it is over the weekend. I will not reply if the information you seek is easily found on this website.
