As we have progressed through the different “theories” of pseudoarchaeology, almost all of them have involved racist ideas promoting that native people were too primitive to have produced mounds, tools, settlements, etc. This is largely applied to Egypt and the construction of the Pyramid of Giza. There is not really a definitive way to prove that Egyptians didn’t “get the idea from aliens” but the claim also involves their help with the construction including food for workers, transportation of the rocks and mining technology to get the stones. However, if these ancient astronauts helped build the pyramid, why did it take 20 years? Ancient astronauts people believe that the astronauts had spaceships and nuclear missiles and planes, so why couldn’t they have transported the rock using their planes, instead of workers transporting it, which would take much longer? It would still take time to construct it but between the astronauts’ supposed modern technology for mining(evidenced by Sacsayhuaman and other temples and sites) and the transportation of rock which would take minutes or seconds by plane, it should’ve been constructed much faster. Of course, there are also hieroglyphics detailing the construction of the pyramids but those are often ignored by pseudoarchaeologists as well.
In Chariots of the Gods and Ancient Aliens, they claim that all of the evidence of extraterrestrials was created because they all “saw” the same thing so it must have happened. For example, the “destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah” was believed to caused by nuclear strikes that multiple different groups of people documented as hellfire raining down and a thousand times brighter than the sun that could reduce a city to ash. First, if there were strikes there would be damage to the environment, including evidence of radiation, not just the supposed idea that the blast created the Dead Sea. Also, if different groups of people supposedly saw the destruction from these “nuclear strikes” their accounts must describe multiple attacks. Chariots of the Gods only mentions Sodom and Gomorrah which “explains” why there are Sumerian texts(like the Epic of Gilgamesh) describing the blast but the Ramayana is also considered proof of the aliens’ technological prowess. The Ramayana is from ancient India, they couldn’t have seen the blast from Northern Africa but no pseudoarchaeologists, coincidentally, never mentioned another site of a strike. Another thing that would need to be proven is the production of the Dead Sea. According to archaeologists, the lake was formed due to fractures as a result of natural causes because the Sea lies between the Arabian and Eurasian tectonic plates which formed the depression. Pseudoarchaeologists believe that the Dead Sea is devoid of life due to radiation or the blast itself which caused the lake’s salinity but this can be attributed to the Jordan river that supplies it which has 35% salt content. Based on the geological evidence supporting this “event” it is very obvious that there were no nuclear strikes.
