If this hypothesis is indeed correct, the archeological record should show quite a few things in Egyptian history that it does not. The first thing that should be present is actual physical evidence of the aliens. Blatant evidence like artifacts, and written texts explaining how these beings came down from the sky and actually assisted them in building the pyramids. Tools, artifacts, anything like this would be evident in record. Also, why would the aliens only help with the pyramids in the past and not continue to assist humans today? Would there not be more evidence in recent times also? The actual record of Egypt showed that the real secret to the pyramids being built were the workers. These workers dedication to these monuments was truly astonishing. There are records of whole villages where they lives, and their payment being grains. These laborers actually existed, and to say that aliens intervened undermines the incredible work they did thousands of years ago. 

Atlantis would have overarching evidence if it really existed. There would be technology and books and all kinds of information (not just fictional books) about the atlantean society. The archeological record would show obvious signs of the entire society if it was as technologically advanced as the pseudoarcheologists claim. There is literally no evidence that it ever existed. We would see the spread of atlantean culture into the Mayans and the ancient Egyptians- Mayan pyramids are completely different from Egyptians pyramids also. Different shapes , and different uses. Mayan pyramids were used more for more ritualistic things while the Egyptian pyramids were great burial sites. Would there not be atlantean artifacts in these places as well as under the sea? The so – called site of Atlantis is actually just a natural igneous rock formation under the ocean caused by heat. If hyperdiffusion from atlantis was truly what happened – why would there be so many different cultures, and not more similar ones? Also, why would the Atlanteans all died out if they were so advanced. Wouldn’t at least one of them survived and repopulated with others. It is also insulting to the mayans to discredit their achievements with the pyramid. 

Thinking that these are connected somehow is just plainly trying to tie ideas together – like the shapes of both pyramids. Atlantis was originally fictitious and born out of philosophical ideas – and then it got blown out of proportion
