Hello Everyone. My name is Shravani. I am a senior at MSU graduating this summer. This anthropology class will be my last class at MSU. I am a neuroscience major with a minor in bioethics. With this degree, I hope to participate in regenerative medicine/ research. I am originally from Princeton, New Jersey moved to Troy, Michigan. A fun fact about me is that I have lived in many places. I have lived in three countries, India, Malaysia and here in the US. Before coming to MSU, I attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Currently, I am in Washington, DC doing in research at the NIH. Additionally, I love to travel. When I went on a study abroad a few years ago, I had the opportunity to visit London, France, Germany, Switzerland and Italy. Outside of school I love to bake, read and learn to play different instruments. One thing I hope to learn more in the class is how the healthcare system is affecting women’s health in different societies.

Hi Shravani, it’s good to have you again! I had no idea you were such a traveler and congratulations with the NIH opportunity, that is fantastic! In this class we’ll be covering stuff similar to ANP 370 but we’ll specifically be looking at it through a gendered lens, so hopefully it won’t seem like a rerun. I actually think the content and material is very interesting, and covers some things that we normally don’t get to talk about in 370.
