Biographical Info

Grace Shu Gerloff's research centers on how transnational, transracial Asian American adoptees use social media to navigate racial identity formation and build community. She incorporates interviews, art, and digital ethnographic methods to understand the ways adoptees resist mainstream adoption narratives and carve out unique identities for themselves through virtual networking.
